TH Group is excited to announce it has acquired a 50% stake in EVW Holding, the sole DAF dealer in Romania and Moldova. The changes in EVW Holding’s shareholding began in the first months of 2019, when Gheorghe Chița became the sole shareholder of the company. Then, in the spring, Turbos Hoet bought 50% of the shares of EVW Holding. “When Gheorghe Chița, whom we have known for a long time, asked me if I was interested in a joint venture, we were very excited about this project. Romania has always been an interesting challenge for us, because we could not enter this market since DAF worked with only one distributor”, said Piet Wauters, CEO of TH Group.

EVW holding runs a DAF dealer network with premisses in all major Romanian cities. EVW Holding will continue to invest in its service network: new locations will be opened and older locations will be redeveloped or will move to own locations in the areas that are currently rented. Special attention will also be paid to the development of the dealer in Chisinau and obtaining a better market share in the Republic of Moldova.

EVW Holding is also convinced that the partnership, through the combination of the already existing  profound local market knowledge within EVW Holding and the international scale of the TH group, will bring numerous advantages to its customers.
